Ayurveda is “Sanskrit Word made with two words” “Ayu” means life and “veda” means knowledge so Ayurveda is science of life. It is not just a therapy but a complete science of preventive and positive health of body – mind in tune with mother nature.
Why do we need to eat? To give energy to the body and mind, increase the vital energy of the body. Fresh vegetarian food is better for health. Yoga gives lot of importance to what to eat, when to eat and how much to eat. The same food that we eat has effects on mind as well.
Yoga is balance of body and mind. Yoga is harmony between actions, thoughts and emotions. Different types of yoga are practiced to achieve this state of balance and inner harmony.
Yoga has survived for more than 10,000 years. The main reason for the survival and spread of yoga is the authentic traditions and lineages that preserved the practices and knowledge of yoga. It is the traditions which bring strength and direction to the Yoga movement. It is the blessings of the Yoga Gurus which inspire millions to practice yoga.
